Web3 Director of Accounting

Overview

• We’re hiring someone to come in and Lead all of Nansen’s Finance Controllership functions (Accounting, Tax, FinOPs, Reporting, …). This is a great opportunity to help build and scale our Finance Team, joining as one of its earliest hires, and working directly alongside our Head of Finance to shape our Finance functions evolution

Your responsibilities

• Bring in-house and then build and scale the Accounting, Controls, and Tax teams across all of Nansen, managing the end to end running of the finance function
• Ownership of month-end, implementation of controls and accounting policies, management reporting/KPIs, direct and indirect tax, consolidation of finances across entities (in future), quarterly/annual statutory accounts, implementation and management of financial systems, operational financial processes (e.g. payroll, supplier and expense payments, …), plus more

Your experience

• 10+ years of post-professional qualification experience
• Prior experience as a Financial Controller, Chief Accountant (or similar) in an international and fast growing company where you were responsible for building a team and capabilities
• Strong technical accounting skills and experience with financial reporting and consolidation systems

• Willing to get your hands dirty. You’ll be joining the team early on, and need to be able to and happy to do and build yourself
• Comfortable with ambiguity and able to adapt to changes in priorities and plans
• Empathetic, kind, curious, and sincere, with bonus points for crypto fluency
