What we’re looking for:
Energi Impact seeks an experienced philanthropy professional with a passion for creating positive change in the world through direct action and education.
Our ideal candidate enjoys diving into research to formulate their philanthropic strategies from a foundation of data. They should be comfortable presenting the results of their analysis with an appropriate balance of summary and details, as well as be able to support their analysis with their research methods and assumptions. Most importantly, they should be closely aligned with Energi Impact’s core values and be driven by a desire to leverage emerging technologies for good.
What You Will Do
If successful, it will be your responsibility to maintain a diverse and sustainable revenue portfolio to support Energi Impact’s mission. You will also create and effectively manage the organization’s annual communications plan to build a consistent brand and to develop and strengthen relationships within the community.
- Organize and implement fundraising opportunities and events for the organization.
- Implement, track, and follow up on annual sponsorships, planned giving, other giving campaigns, and other department initiatives.
- Coordinate the timely dispatch of acknowledgement letters for financial and in-kind donations.
- Oversee gift acceptance.
- Coordinate monthly reporting and financial recording with the Finance Department for board reports and audits.
- Coordinate database use and management for donor records and acknowledgements.
- Keep a master calendar for development work and manage adherence to its tasks and timelines.
- Manage the ENERGI Impact website messaging, its content, and interactive features.
- Create, maintain, and apply best practices and policies for online and print communications.
- Implement social networking and marketing strategies to increase the visibility of ENERGI IMPACT.
- Keep a master calendar for communications/marketing and manage adherence to its tasks and timelines.
- Work side by side with the web development team to create an ENERGI IMPACT educational presence.
- Supervise the standardization, improvement, and maintenance of all aspects of the ENERGI IMPACT volunteer program, including volunteer recruitment, cultivation, orientation, scheduling, retention, training, recognition, and evaluation.
Essential Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or the liberal arts.
- At least five (5) years of non-profit experience
- Management experience, including the ability to motivate, lead, set objectives, and manage the performance of a board of directors or volunteers.
- Ability to foster an environment of creativity and professional growth.
- Expert knowledge of current and evolving trends in major gift-giving and solicitation and fundraising campaigns.
- Proven success in asking for and closing major gifts.
- Building and maintaining long-term relationships with major individual donors, foundations, and corporations.
- Proven success in writing and securing grants.
- Working and effective understanding of the basics of charitable gift planning.
- Self-driven with the ability to deliver results with minimal supervision
- Fluent English communicator
- Passionate and up-to-date on the rapidly changing world of blockchain technology
- Values aligned with the Energi culture and values
Nice to Have
- Knowledge of more advanced gift planning concepts is a plus.
- Business planning experience is a plus.
