Web3 GM of Skyweaver

We are looking for an accomplished GM of Skyweaver to guide and execute on the vision and business outcomes of Skyweaver, a digital trading card game and Horizon’s first title.

 

You’ll be challenged to creatively tie things together: Connecting Skyweaver’s vision with our commercial targets, understanding the market and gamers we look to serve, and translating it into a product plan schedule you have built.

 

While we value intuitive thinking highly, a focus on data-driven decision making is important.

 

An understanding of what makes games fun and successful, will be crucial. As you guide the product team to deliver excellent interactive entertainment with cutting-edge blockchain technology, you’ll lean on your experience to ask the right questions: 

 

* Who are the best performing cohorts? 

* How might we improve retention? 

* What features connect strongly with our strategy, and which others should we leave for now? 

 

You will be supported by a talented team to make it happen. You will work closely with senior leaders, working 1-1 with our Game Designer, Head of Design, Director of Product, CFO, and CEO, on a daily basis. You’ll have direct visibility into the company and its strategy, and we expect you to be intimately involved in those discussions.

 

In short, you'll need to expertly sort through an abundance of ideas, figure out which ideas get picked, and then shape those ideas into shippable features, with an articulate reasoning behind those choices that is persuasive not only to yourself, but to the company, and team.

Responsibilities

• Work with relevant stakeholders to derive product strategy to meet our business goals/targets on a quarterly, and yearly basis
• Think strategically about about the blockchain gaming market, with deep knowledge of the competitive space
• Be a driver of a data-driven approach to product strategy, and decision making, working closely with our Data Team
• Define success quantitatively, so we can measure progress, with a focus on KPIs and OKRs
• Translate product strategy into shippable features
• Communicate product strategy effectively, keeping a clear idea of what needs to be done at all times. Does the team have clarity about what needs to ship and why?
• Ensure different company divisions are up-to-date on the product roadmap

Requirements

• 5+ years of production experience on a shipped console, PC, or mobile game
• Demonstrated track record leading and delivering major projects (quality standards, budget constraints and effective team output) on time, and within budget)
• In-depth knowledge of ARM (acquisition, retention, monetization) model for games
• Deep experience and working knowledge of game monetization best practices
• Ability to successfully partner across all levels of a team and organization
• Excellent leadership skills and interpersonal communication skills
• Strong ability to lead and motivate a team
• Excellent organizational skills with experience in project delivery methodologies
• Passion for games, an understanding of the industry, and the knowledge of what makes great interactive entertainment
