Hi, we're Ondo Finance. Our mission is to provide institutional-grade, blockchain-enabled investment products and services. We have both a technology arm that develops decentralized finance technology, and an asset management arm that creates and manages tokenized funds. We were the first company to tokenize exposure to US Treasuries, and have since expanded into several other assets. We are also focused on incubating protocols that can support both tokenized real-world assets and traditional crypto.

Founded by folks from Goldman Sachs Digital Assets Team, we’re backed by some of the best investors in the world including Founders Fund, Coinbase Ventures, Pantera Capital, Tiger Global, and more. We are currently the leaders in the space in terms of AUM and are well capitalized to continue growing the firm. We're fully remote, with team members across the U.S.

Ondo is at a critical inflection point with 2x+ headcount growth planned this year. As Head of People you will be the company's first dedicated People leader and alongside the existing recruiting team, be accountable for building out the People function to manage the entire lifecycle of the employee experience while hiring and retaining top talent to deliver on our goals.

Target Outcomes

•Partner with the recruiting function to ensure that it is high-functioning, with top-of-funnel pipeline, structured interview processes, and strong close rates across all teams.
•A comprehensive, scalable compensation philosophy and framework is in place, supporting both fiat and token-based compensation with internal equity and market competitiveness across jurisdictions.
•Benefits programs (including international employment setups, 401(k), and healthcare) are best-in-class for our size and stage, enabling us to attract and retain talent globally.
•Performance management systems and career development frameworks are operationalized, including job architectures, levels, and promotion criteria across functions.
•Key people systems are integrated and automated to support accurate, real-time data for planning, reporting, and decision-making.
•Managers are upskilled in feedback, hiring, and team development; our culture supports high performance, accountability, and continuous growth.

What You'll Do

Talent Acquisition

•Oversee the full-cycle recruiting function, from sourcing to closing.
•Ensure consistent use of structured interviews, scorecards, and candidate experience best practices.
•Partner with execs and hiring managers to forecast headcount and hiring priorities.

Compensation & Total Rewards

•Develop and maintain our compensation philosophy, incorporating both fiat and token elements.
•Own market benchmarking processes, leveling, and geographic adjustments.
•Design and implement benefit programs (e.g., 401(k), healthcare, equity/token liquidity strategies).

Performance Management & Development

•Implement performance review cycles, feedback mechanisms, and promotion processes.
•Build career ladders, job architecture specs, and clear criteria for progression.
•Drive manager enablement and employee development programs.

Org Design & People Planning

•Partner with leadership on org design and workforce planning.
•Build scalable processes and systems for decision-making, approvals, and change management.
•Lead international employment strategies, including contractor-to-employee transitions and EOR setup.

People Ops Systems & Data

•Own our HR systems stack: ATS, HRIS, comp benchmarking tools, performance tools, etc.
•Integrate data across systems to support planning, reporting, and insights.
•Establish and report on key people analytics metrics (e.g., offer acceptance rate, attrition, compensation coverage, engagement trends).

What We're Looking For

•8–12+ years of experience in People/HR, including leadership roles in high-growth, tech-forward, or finance-adjacent companies.
•Experience managing compensation strategies involving equity or tokens, ideally with exposure to volatility and refresh grant decision-making.
•Strong fluency with numbers, models, and data systems; background in finance, economics, analytics, or consulting is a plus.
•Experience leading or implementing international employment and benefits programs.
•Strong project management skills and systems thinking.
•Excellent written communication; clear, precise, and thoughtful.
•Proven ability to build trust across functions and seniority levels.
•Comfortable with ambiguity, able to design processes from scratch and iterate quickly.

What we Offer

•Competitive compensation including but not limited to salary, future token rights, and/or equity (according to your preferences) — •We are well-funded and believe that great talent deserves great compensation.
•Full benefits (medical, vision, and dental) and flexible vacation policy (PTO).
•Remote-first team across many countries — You will be an early team member helping shape our vision, culture, and design practices.
•A+ colleagues — Our team includes alumni from: Goldman Sachs, Blackrock, Two Sigma, Bridgewater, SpaceX, AWS, Meta, Google, McKinsey, Circle, Uniswap.
•Best-in-class investors — We are proud to be backed by leading crypto experts and VCs, including Pantera Capital, Founders Fund and Coinbase Ventures.
