Web3 Managing Director - RIA Business Development

Compensation: $150k - $400k

Warbler Labs is the team building the tools and technology to make that possible. Heron Finance is the first and only automated investing platform offering accredited US investors access to the rapidly growing private credit asset class. Its launch has coincided with a private credit boom, as both macroeconomic and regulatory tailwinds are currently benefiting the sector. Heron Finance uses the benefits of the blockchain infrastructure to provide a better way to access private credit, and if you are an accredited investor, all you need is a standard bank account to begin investing. As a Managing Director at Heron Finance, you will be responsible for generating investments from and maintaining relationships with RIAs. Heron offers a unique and innovative product. You should enjoy educating our clients not only on the product mechanics, but also helping them learn how the asset class itself (private credit) can benefit their clients. You have a deep rolodex of independent RIAs who trust you. You love the hustle and pace of a startup environment, and are able to tolerate, and even enjoy uncertainty. This role is full time, preferably located in the Bay Area or NYC. Open to remote within +3 timezones of San Francisco What you’ll be doing (i.e. job duties):

  • Generate sales of Heron Finance to independent RIAs
  • Establish, maintain, and grow relationships with alternative-focused Registered Investment Advisors, acting as a subject matter expert representing our company platform and investment solutions
  • Build and manage a pipeline of RIA prospects, with realistic assessments on deal potential and likelihood of closing
  • Attend conferences, initiate sales meetings, manage events, and be the external contact for Heron Finance
  • Work closely with the CEO and CIO to determine a sales strategy
  • Create and present educational materials for RIAs about Heron and/or private credit


What we look for in you (i.e. job requirements):

  • Deep existing network of contacts within the RIA community
  • A minimum of 7 years of sales experience, with a proven track record of success in building relationships and driving sales with top RIAs
  • Demonstrated experience selling debt investment opportunities to independent RIAs and/or institutional investors
  • Series 6, Series 7 or Series 63
  • 10+ years of total experience preferred
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
