What you'll do
- Prepare and file legal documents with courts, government agencies, and regulatory bodies.
- Maintain records of filings and deadlines.
- Assist in the preparation of board and shareholder meeting agendas, resolutions, and minutes.
- Draft and distribute reports to internal stakeholders, the Board of Directors, and stockholders.
- Maintain corporate records and ensure proper documentation of corporate actions.
- Draft, proofread, and format legal correspondence and reports.
- Assist in the preparation of legal reports and regulatory submissions.
- Organize and maintain legal files, contracts, and corporate documents.
- Manage legal review, referrals and requests, ensuring smooth coordination between the Legal team and stakeholders.
- Coordinate schedules, meetings, and communications for the legal department.
- Manage document retention and e-filing systems.
- Handle general administrative tasks, including billing, expense tracking, legal review/referral managemebt and vendor/stakeholder coordination.
- Conduct legal research as needed.
- Assist with due diligence, contract reviews, and other transactional tasks.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Chief Legal Officer and legal team.
What we expect from you
- Associate or bachelor’s degree in Legal Administration, or any 2 or 4 year course.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of paralegal experience, preferably in a corporate legal department or law firm.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), legal research tools, and e-filing systems; proficiency with regulatory filing requirements (SEC, BSP, courts, etc.)
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication.
- Attention to detail and ability to handle confidential information.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with corporate governance and regulatory compliance.
- Experience with board reporting and shareholder communications.
- Knowledge of contract management systems.
