Quality Assurance Lead

We are seeking a QA Lead to join our growing team in our Brighton studio as development ramps up for our new mobile IP. This is a great time to join the team!We’re looking for someone with experience as a lead, or a talented QA professional who wants to make the next step in their career.
Job Description
As QA Lead you will be expected to take responsibility for running the testing for a project. You will need to coordinate your efforts with the development team, working side by side to advise and inform upon risk and to assist them in building a quality product. You will build and drive a comprehensive test strategy that covers all systems with testing efficiency in mind, and with the aim to continually improve operational efficiency and effectiveness by evolving QA methodologies. This is a new role for the studio so a great opportunity to help shape the way forward.
Experience
- 2+ years of QA experience
- At least 1 year of which working embedded within a development team
- Test Planning / Risk analysis
- Building test suites, tracking test coverage
- Mobile testing
- F2P / Games as a Service
- Familiarity with submission process / how to structure testing on approach to release
- Experienced with testing tools eg. Charles proxy or Postman

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Assist with internal project kickoffs and requirements/spec gathering
- Develop and execute test strategies, plans, cases and procedures - track test coverage and gather valuable performance metrics
- Performance, Compatibility, Compliance, and Network testing
- Facilitate quality production with consistent, close collaboration with the development team
- Document and facilitate communication and troubleshooting of issues, bugs and changes.
- Coordinate release testing with the aim of informing the team upon the risk/impact, based on test coverage achieved
- Collaborate with Tech leads and Product Owner to manage change close to submissions
- Coordinate with the project stakeholders to prioritize issue fixes via regular bug triages
- Active involvement in Sprint ceremonies; daily scrums, demos, planning, and retrospectives.
- Develop and drive processes to aid bug prevention methods and encourage quality responsibility within the team.
- Act as subject matter expert for the customer support team.
- Coordinate with Customer Support to feed key issues/feedback into sprints
- Actively seek to self improve; pursue training and development activities, strive to continuously build knowledge and skills.
Bonus Skills
- Experience working with Unity3D projects
- Experience with Jenkins build pipelines
- High-level profiling experience to identify performance regressions and work with team to resolve issues
- Knowledge of blockchain concepts and applicable best QA practices
