Why This Job Exists: Job Summary/Scope of Impact

We are looking for a QA Manager. We appreciate you taking the time to review the list of qualifications and to apply for the position. As QA Manager you will be responsible for providing thought leadership for testing principles, strategy, and testing execution. The ideal candidate will have a technology background with software testing experience.

Reporting to the Strategic Innovations Senior Manager, this position that works in close partnership with Technology staff to drive smooth operations and continual improvement.


What You’ll Do: Test Strategy and Execution

Testing Strategy:

  • Evaluate tools and implement automated testing
  • Oversee quality testing deliverables including validating the completeness, accuracy, quality of test plans, execution, and test case results
  • Develop Master Test Strategy and Plan for projects.
  • Oversee all aspects of quality assurance including establishing metrics and applying industry best practices. Also developing new processes to ensure quality goals are met
  • Oversees implementation and execution of functional, regression and acceptance testing

Cross Departmental Collaboration:

  • Collaborate with the Business Teams, SMEs, and Business Systems Analysts to perform detailed requirements analysis
  • Collaborate with development and operations teams to provision required test infrastructures and environments
  • Drive cross functional integration testing within Technology teams and with third parties
  • Assists Management with creating timelines for current and upcoming projects and helping the team meet those timelines

QA Processes and Procedures:

  • Providing accurate and regular reports to the management on performance of application testing
  • Manage and maintain detailed documentation related to software or system testing.
  • Analyzing internal processes and creating strategies for optimization.
  • Administrative functions including change control, maintaining test cases, suites, contribution to standard operating procedures, and in-service and training.

Who You Are: Experience, Training, Education

  • Completed Technology related bachelor’s degree
  • 7+ years’ experience of relevant testing experience required (software and infrastructure)
  • Proven experience designing, developing, and executing effective testing strategies
  • Strong skills using MS Office products, primarily with Excel
  • Strong analytical abilities capable of performing data analysis and contract reviews.
  • 7-10 years technology experience, 3-5 in technology leadership operational role.
  • ITIL v3 Certification preferable
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communications skills
  • Readiness to demonstrate a proactive attitude.
