Web3 SecOps Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a SecOps Engineer to join our SRE team.

You will work closely with our DevOps/SRE team, whilst also working independently to plan and execute security measures to monitor and protect our Data & Systems.

You will play a key role in the future of finance, and help us to achieve our mission to surface the signal in blockchain data. Your contributions to the team will have a big impact, as you help us grow Nansen to a leading crypto company.

You can be located anywhere in the world, as our work is 100% online.

The position is full-time.

What are your responsibilities?

• Respond to security alerts
• Perform preventative actions such as patching and security
• Work with Developers to advise them on good practices & evangelise a security-first approach
• Architecting and implementing enterprise-level security solutions: specifically for cloud environments (GCP)
• Security Development and Administration: evaluate new cybersecurity applications or tools, rules/signatures, access controls, and configurations of cybersecurity platforms
• Provide vulnerability assessments of GCP assets, deliver remediation recommendations, and provide knowledgeable assistance in resolving identified vulnerabilities
• Map security controls to compliance requirements for cloud environments

Are you the right person for this role?

• Familiar with the security architecture system of cloud computing platforms, such as Google Cloud Platform
• Strong programming background (Python ideally) to write automation scripts. This will also help understand the application layer written by the developers
• Extensive experience in implementing and testing security policies across cloud
• Good experience working in Agile delivery teams
• Good knowledge of CI/CD and Agile development models
