The Partnerships Team is responsible for creating and managing relationships with strategic partners that support Mysten Labs’ ecosystem. We’re looking for a business development professional who will spearhead our Sports & Entertainment initiatives that support Mysten Labs’ growth. The primary focus of this position will be to identify key stakeholders, establish relationships with major players in the industry, and drive adoption of the Sui network within the sports and entertainment ecosystem.
What You'll Do:
- Strategy Development: Collaborate with the leadership team to develop a comprehensive strategy for engaging with the sports and entertainment industry. This includes identifying target partners, defining objectives, and creating an action plan to achieve our goals.
- Partner Identification: Conduct research to identify potential strategic partners within the sports and entertainment sectors. This includes sports teams, leagues, entertainment companies, content creators, and other relevant entities.
- Relationship Building: Establish and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers and executives from potential partner organizations. Act as the main point of contact for all partnership-related communications.
- Collaboration and Negotiation: Work closely with partners to explore collaborative opportunities, negotiate terms of engagement, and secure mutually beneficial agreements. This may involve technical integration discussions, marketing collaborations, and incentive programs.
- Ecosystem Enablement: Drive awareness and adoption of the Sui network within the sports and entertainment industries. Educate partners about the benefits and potential applications of blockchain technology to foster adoption.
- Project Management: Oversee the successful execution of partnership initiatives, ensuring that projects are delivered on time and meet the agreed-upon objectives.
- Metrics and Reporting: Develop key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of partnership initiatives. Provide regular reports to the leadership team, highlighting progress and areas for improvement.
- Industry Insights: Stay up-to-date with trends and developments within the sports and entertainment sectors, as well as the broader blockchain industry. Use this knowledge to inform partnership strategies and potential use cases.
- Proven experience in strategic partnership management or business development in the sports and entertainment industries or blockchain sector.
- Strong existing network within the sports and entertainment industries is highly desirable.
- Exceptional communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to present complex concepts in a clear and compelling manner.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders.
- Proactive, results-oriented, and able to work independently in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
- Passion for sports, entertainment, and blockchain technology, with a genuine enthusiasm for driving innovation and growth.
- You have prior experience managing external relationships and structuring / closing complex partnerships.
