About The Role
  • co is looking for a Director, Head of Portfolio Management to lead portfolio management efforts across our business lines and products. The Director, Head of Portfolio Management will be responsible for designing and executing our ETP strategies alongside our ETP product team and our trading team.

What You'll Do
Product Development Strategy
Work with the ETP Product Team to design new products including the following:
  • Developing investment strategies
  • Consulting on index strategies
  • Work with capital markets to ensure market makers/APs can execute any strategies
  • Setting of fund Investment policies & strategies

Product Management
Ownership of all 21Shares product related portfolio management including
  • Establishment of investment strategies
  • Management of trading of ETP/client portfolios in accordance with Investment strategies
  • ETP Index Strategy rebalance process
  • Risk management in connection with all of the above activities

What That Will Look Like
  • Own the creation of productisable investment strategies across the crypto space in both active and passive IP-driven products
  • Define and execute investment strategies
  • Work to ensure all new products meet best in class standards
  • Monitor the performance of investment portfolios and make adjustments as needed to achieve investment objectives
  • Establish and maintain all processes and procedures related to portfolio management across the global 21co organization in both tokens and ETPs
  • Work to ensure design of new products considering internal resource commitments and bandwidth, including technical, go-to-market, finance, regulations etc.
  • Establish and maintain a risk management framework for all 21co products
  • Participate in key research and data initiatives to allow greater innovation in our product suite
  • Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to attract new business and promote our crypto investment products across the US
  • Build alignment and establish buy-in from co-founders, executive leadership, and the wider organization on business development strategy and roadmap
  • Build and develop the portfolio management team including provide coaching and feedback to promote professional development
  • Remain an expert in key trends and industry developments
  • Work closely with the product and technology teams to enhance our portfolio management systems

Desired Qualifications:
  • 5+ years experience
  • Managed Futures, Options and Equity experience
  • Crypto experience a plus
  • Series 3
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in a quantitative field such as Mathematics, Physics, Statistics, Computer Science, or related fields
  • Proven track record of managing futures portfolios and achieving consistent returns
  • Strong knowledge and experience in options trading, including various strategies and risk management techniques
  • Exceptional Python programming skills
  • Researching cutting edge developments in quantitative ETF management
  • Quantitative analysis and Statistical modeling to monitor risk and improve performance

This role is based in New York City and will be expected to work from our New York office in a hybrid model Monday - Wednesday.
(NYC only) Pursuant to Section 8-102 of title 8 of the New York City administrative code, the base salary range for this role is $200,000 - $225,000. Total compensation packages are based on a wide array of factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, years & depth of experience, certifications and specific office location. This may differ in other locations due to cost of labor considerations.
