4WRD is a globally experienced collective based in Miami.Working at the intersection of sports & luxury, we are looking for a motivated HEAD OF PARTNERSHIPS & ACTIVATION to join our growing team in Miami. This position will assist in all aspect of partnerships across the business, but focus primarily on building a global sponsorship strategy for a new client and ultimately implementing that strategy.


Candidate must live in or be open to relocating to Miami.

Responsibilities

  • Work with founder to develop strategic approach to partnerships for all clients, but primarily for a new client in the Blockchain/Cryptocurrency space.
  • Oversees client service, partnership management, general relationship development, project coordination.
  • Leads and collaborates with the clients’ internal teams responsible for developing 360-partnership marketing plans that start with evaluating and vetting traditional and non-traditional partnership constructs and continues with establishing and implementing a strategic direction including brief development thru to a program structure that could include but isn’t limited to content, digital, social, experiential, influencer and more.
  • Oversees and facilitates, in partnership with the Founder and others, possible deal structures and negotiation strategy for properties and talent; works with client, internal team to craft the best business structures for clients entering or renewing agreements in all spaces.
  • When required by founder, facilitates negotiations between the partner and client; and once a sponsorship is established, manages the relationship to ensure the client is fully leveraging all benefits and assets.
  • Oversee a robust E-Sports partnership to ensure it is well activated.
  • Demonstrates a track record of developing and cultivating relationships with clients, properties, talent partners and media partners as well as agency teams and third-party vendors.
  • Maintains oversight of and delegates all client-related and partnership budgets for assigned client accounts while tracking, billing and reporting.
  • Serves as a primary point of contact for clients and partners setting the tone for regular formal and informal check ins, status meetings, troubleshooting and advancing the business.
  • Intercedes when issues arise between partners and programs; works diligently to create solutions for clients.
  • Actively seeks and identifies new and different opportunities to enhance the business.
  • Understands the landscape for each client’s business/sector as well as the industry contexts for their investments. Supports and helps develop cutting edge strategic plans for clients to meet/exceed objectives.
  • Maintains a good working relationship with key stakeholders to ensure all parties receive appropriate attention, support, and ensures we are in lock-step with the client’s plans as it relates to the growth and changes.
  • Assist in selling partnerships, where applicable, for events that the company is producing.

Requirements


  • Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree 10+ years relevant experience with minimum six (6) years of direct experience in account and project management
  • Minimum two (2) years of experience working in gaming and/or e-sports in a sponsorship, talent and/or activation capacity, ideally leading projects and teams; experience working directly with competitive teams, leagues, developers and talent is a plus.
  • Working knowledge of project management fundamentals and capable of executing in a fast-paced, quick-turn environment.
  • High-level proficiency with Microsoft Office applications; advanced skills in PowerPoint, Word and Excel for deck development and budget management.
  • Possess exceptional communication skills, both orally and in writing.
  • Superior interpersonal skills and ability to create a rapport with people of all backgrounds.
  • Proven Account Management skills required in order to create, maintain and enhance customer relationships across a global suite of partnerships.
  • Possess social perceptiveness and understands behavioral nuances in deal negotiations.
  • Strong leadership capabilities to motivate team to accomplish goals and develop professional skills.
  • Motivated, goal oriented, persistent and a skilled negotiator.
  • High level of initiative and works well independently and in a team environment.
  • Plans and carries out responsibilities with minimal direction.
  • Strong attention to detail and highly organized.
  • Well-developed analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Anticipated travel between 10% and 25% of time though may fluctuate up and down pending client needs.
