About the Role

As the CTO, you will play a crucial role in shaping our technology strategy and leading our talented team of engineers. You will define and implement our technological vision, ensuring scalability, security, and innovation of our new venture in the Digital Asset space. This is a high-impact role that will directly contribute to the success and growth of our organization.

Responsibilities

• Take a Seed-stage (initial funding secured) company from 0 to 100 in months.

• Create and execute the product, architecture, and engineering roadmap.

• Implement new state-of-the-art technologies, tools, and on-premise infrastructure that aligns with relevant regulations.

• Attract, hire, and manage great talent (whether new employees, freelancers or advisers) across multiple crafts, including SysAdmins, DevOps, Software Engineers, Security Engineers, Blockchain experts, cryptographers, and potentially further roles relevant to Crypto Custody.

• Ensure clear and constantly improving delivery and quality assurance processes are in place.

• Set, monitor, and report product and engineering goals (OKRs and KPIs) to stakeholders.

• Communicate product and technology strategy to customers, partners and shareholders.

• Support venture fundraising efforts in partnership with the rest of the founding team.

About you

• You’re willing to make the required sacrifices and risks that come with it.

• Your experience shows a clear path to this point with at least 5 years of experience as CTO or VP of Engineering.

• Strong proficiency in programming and MVC design patterns and familiarity with current frameworks.

• You have experience working in environments where software deployment, scaling, and management are automated using tools like Kubernetes and Docker.

• You are an advocate of test-driven development.

• You have hands-on experience with HSM, cryptography, and blockchain technology.

• You know how to operate a secure development life cycle

• You have strong knowledge and experience in scaling teams in a scale-up environment and building a company, engineering, and product culture where people thrive, grow and perform.

• You have successful experience in managing an engineering team of at least 20 people, mentoring and coaching managers and individual contributors.

• You have a very good understanding of translating business and user requirements into a technical roadmap leading to product-market fit and growth.

• You are a problem-solver willing to crack any problem with a particularly open, analytical, and curious mindset.

• You hold a Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science with outstanding academic results.
