About The Role
Lineage is seeking a DeFi/Crypto Expert / Creative Marketing Strategist to join our Strategy Team. This individual will be responsible for both proactive and reactive strategic initiatives across various crypto client channels. The role involves driving strategic planning and execution for launches and announcements, as well as managing ongoing strategies for our crypto clients' brands and products. As an integral member of the strategy team and an expert in your field, you will develop and implement social and media strategies, support executive communications, and collaborate effectively with a diverse team of internal and external stakeholders. The right individual will bring a balanced combination of vision, ambition, judgment, creativity, flexibility and critical thinking - all with the passion and enthusiasm for building a DeFi brand and advancing crypto’s goal of revolutionizing the financial system.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement and oversee strategy in a range of campaigns, partnerships, and activities simultaneously.
- Analyze crypto payments trends, macro-economic trends, and audience behaviors to refine our strategic approach.
- Collaborate with the Accounts team and external partners to design and analyze research, extracting insights to guide our messaging and creative strategies.
- Develop robust creative briefs and work closely with creative and production teams to support their endeavors.
- Achieve a tangible increase in brand awareness across all target audiences.
- Develop in-depth expertise of DeFi and crypto payment products, as well as their respective audiences.
- Effectively communicate with various levels within the crypto and DeFi community.
- Demonstrate exceptional writing and storytelling skills, maintain a strong executive presence, and adeptly adopt the voice of key leaders.
- Strategize how to represent the brand(s) at crypto events, ensuring a strong and impactful presence in alignment with organizational goals.
- Prepare a variety of communications materials, including press releases, pitches, backgrounders, contributed articles, op-eds, blog posts, and social media content.
- Craft compelling pitches for financial media outlets to secure favorable media coverage.
- Stay informed about market sentiments and responses to company activities, monitoring daily financial and DeFi news, and provide ongoing analysis for senior management's use in engagements with investors, analysts, shareholders, media, etc.
- Over 3 years of experience in financial or DeFi roles, gained either at a marketing agency or within an in-house strategy team.
- Deep understanding of the regulatory, security, and technical landscape influencing the cryptocurrency ecosystem, both current and future.
- Minimum of 3 years in developing strategy and external communications.
- Ability to comprehend complex subjects and effectively simplify and communicate these topics.
- Excellent writing and storytelling skills, with a focus on clear, concise, and jargon-free prose.
- Strong executive presence, including direct experience with executives and supporting executive-level strategy programs.
- Familiarity with leading cross-functional initiatives and collaborating with multiple stakeholders organization-wide.
- Hands-on approach with meticulous attention to detail, taking full ownership of tasks from start to finish.
- Solution-focused mindset, consistently finding creative solutions and viewing challenges as opportunities.
- Proven leadership in developing and executing comprehensive brand strategies.
- Adaptability in fast-paced and evolving environments, with a capacity to adjust strategies quickly as needed.
- Demonstrated ability to foster alignment and drive initiatives across cross-functional teams.
- Strategic thinker with high levels of creativity for developing impactful, innovative materials and programs.
- Experience in organizing strategic briefs outside of the crypto space (B2C and B2B).
- Understanding paid media and where owned/earned intersect with paid. A keen understanding of which stories will engage media attention.
- Has led design and execution of quantitative and/or qualitative research methodologies.
