Our CTO will play a critical role in bringing our product vision to life. Through effective collaboration with our executive team, you will be responsible for defining our product roadmap and bringing it to life as we work to pioneer how media publications can thrive in a web3 context.

Role & Responsibilities:

• Lead the overall Engineering organization and manage, coach, and support a team of engineering leaders.
• Host regular 1:1 with engineering team members.
• Scale the engineering organization by working with recruiting to hire and retaining exceptional talent and designing organizations, systems, and tools to help us scale effectively.
• Support in defining product roadmap and timeline.
• Management of exceptional code quality.
• Create a safe and blameless work culture through effective team collaboration and communication.
• Team member performance reviews (yearly and ongoing).
• Provide technical direction and guidance and work closely to manage the evolution of nft now software.
• Ensure our architecture and stack are optimized to keep pace with the demands of hyper-growth.
• Position our products for continued high-availability and reliability across regions.
• Working with product/design to clarify engineering possibilities, size of the effort, and feasibility.
• Specify technical clarifications that fall outside of higher-level R&D or other team member technical specialties.
• Run the sprint meetings and standup updates.
• Manage DevOps & infrastructure.
• Lead the team with active hands-on application development and code review.
• Actively manage software development and documentation required to onboard engineers into the project.
• Manage third-party services used in our applications.
• From a technical standpoint create, manage & meet within reason, development, and deployment timelines/milestones.
• Plan software releases in collaboration with product & business priorities.
• From a technical standpoint, lead and manage successful product releases, tags, and versions.

Experience Requisites:

• 2+ years of experience writing, testing, deploying and verifying Solidity applications.
• 5+ years of programming experience.
• 3+ years of experience scaling and managing software development teams.
• Know how to document your work and make it simple for the UI team to integrate what you’re creating.
• Being able to work in a team environment, take part in audit sessions (and create remediation documents) and follow Agile-like processes.
• Being passionate about crypto & web3 space (new developments tools releases and latest features of the solidity language).
• Being able to work in a fast paced environment.
