Senior Associate, Investor Services
About the role...
Investor Services’ Senior Associate is responsible for the facilitation of investor capital activity processing into private funds (including AML/KYC), communication with investors on behalf of clients, distribution of investor financial reporting, and other ad hoc related projects. The ideal candidate will have 3 - 5 years of experience working directly in an Investor Services role at an alternatives fund administrator or an investment manager.
What you'll be doing
- Establish effective relationships across the organization to drive business performance and resolve problems
- Serve as a main point of contact and develop a strong relationship with assigned client contacts
- Process and review investor capital activity documents and follow up with investors for missing information
- Perform anti-money laundering checks and review investors due diligence and KYC documents
- Monitor and reconcile money movement associated with capital activity
- Send reports, such as contract notes, statements, capital call notices, and distribution notices to investors and clients
- Communicate with internal teams, fund managers, investors, custodians, and auditors
- Assist with the distribution of tax documents and audited financial statements
- Ability to review and understand offering documents, such as LPA and PPM, for hedge funds and private equity funds
- Identify operational process improvements and help drive change through implementation of new processes
- Help develop, educate and train staff
What you'll need to be considered...
- 3-5 years of experience processing documents in the financial services industry
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, business administration or related field (or equivalent work experience)
- Experience with Microsoft Excel and ability to learn new applications
- Must have a high level of attention to detail and organization skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while managing numerous projects and clients
- Ability to work independently and take initiative while also being a team player
- Experience with hedge funds, private equity funds and the alternative investment space
- Strong interpersonal skills and positive attitude
Benefits
- Base compensation range $65,000 - $80,000, depending on experience
