Chief of Staff

The Chief of Staff will report directly to the Founder's Office of Standard and will play a critical role in bringing all stakeholders, partners, and leadership together across various functions, to help accelerate progress, and to ensure the Executive Leadership team runs a rigorous and disciplined business. In this role, you will enable the Executive Leadership team to focus on the largest strategic initiatives by assuming the day-to-day responsibilities for the organizational and operational effectiveness of the team.

As the Chief of Staff, you will own the rhythm of business and will partner with the Founder's Office and the Executive Leadership team to influence our culture, define our people's investments, and help define strategic initiatives. You’re Excited About This Opportunity Because You Will

Maximize Effectiveness

  • Serve as a sounding board to the Founder's Office to provide an objective, independent perspective on ideas and issues
  • Develop, manage, and optimize the Executive Leadership team rhythm of business by developing ideal operating cadence to maximize organizational communication, planning, and decision-making
  • Draft and distribute presentations, documents, and communications, as appropriate regarding all strategic initiatives and ongoing projects
  • Partner with Executive Teams to address overall organizational approach and design, staffing needs, issues, or planning within the organization
  • Attend meetings, provide direction, and address inquiries or issues on behalf of the Founders
  • Make and support strategic hires to build out a lean team that expedites execution of the overall roadmap

Drive Strategic Initiatives

  • Successfully lead and execute key initiatives end-to-end including discovery, design, delivery, and adoption
  • Support the Executive Leadership team in developing and honing the Long-Range Plan, including the overall strategic roadmap and business KPIs
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with executives, senior leaders, and stakeholders to achieve project objectives and deliverables

Support Executive Leadership Team Decision-making and Meetings

  • Plan and develop agendas and presentation materials for key meetings
  • Document and communicate decisions and action items from meetings
  • Ensure follow-up and closure of action items
  • Share information and learnings across teams

6-month Success

  • Establish a leadership and business unit rhythm of business
  • Execute on a decision-making framework for leadership
  • Support the successful execution of future funding rounds
  • Put in place a motivating 5-year vision for the business unit
  • Serve as an ambassador for our employees, connecting with 1500+ people across many teams to understand our opportunities
  • Establish great relationships with leadership across the BU and become a problem solver for teams

Specific Requirements Include

  • Minimum of 2 years of proven experience working in a startup environment leading projects and teams coordinating with internal and external venders
  • Experience in the technology sector and the fast paced environment of blockchain
  • Open to rapid change and able to move quickly between strategic initiatives oftentimes balancing multiple hats at once
  • Experience in effectively interacting with executives and senior leaders
  • Experience of building effective business processes for diverse teams
  • Exceptional verbal, written, and interpersonal communications skills
  • Comfortable presenting and communicating to large groups and across all levels of the organization in an effective, situationally appropriate, clear, and high-quality manner
  • Capable of strong individual contribution and influence across non-direct reporting teams
  • Ability to work collaboratively with stakeholders throughout the organization
  • Ability to work independently and deliver results with little supervision; ability to prioritize tasks across multiple projects
  • Detail-oriented; Results-oriented; Problem solver
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Finance, or a related discipline or prior work experience in one or more of these disciplines


  • Prior experience reporting directly to a C-level executive

Role Details and Comp

  • Minimum 6-month contract with ability for long term growth
  • Fully remote.
  • Both full-time and part-time positions available.
  • Token Equity and fiat compensation commensurate with performance and goal oriented outcomes.
