We are looking for an Associate for Legal and Regulatory Technology to join our growing, high impact team in our office in Singapore.

Tasks

You will work under the guidance of the existing team lead on:

  • Advising on legal/regulatory matters including interactions with regulators on existing and prospective business lines
  • Partnering with internal stakeholders to provide holistic support for the business on standard and non-standard transactions, new products launches and on strategic projects
  • Providing support to the business, including risk and compliance teams to ensure policies, procedures and products comply with relevant laws and regulations and to assist with continual evaluation and improvement of such policies with a view to streamline internal business processes.
  • Serving as a subject matter expert for Singapore legal and regulatory matters related to the business generally and to monitor developments in the regulatory space, with a focus on financial technology, digital assets, DLT, securities law as it pertains to digital assets, and to assist in assessment of implications/impacts on product and service offerings.
  • Drafting, updating and negotiation of contracts and product/service documentation as needed
  • Liaising and aligning with internal stakeholders across the group to ensure all required intra-group arrangements are in place
  • Managing and engaging with external counsel and service providers where required

Requirements

  • 1-3 years PQE
  • At least 1 year of experience in advising on capital markets, payments or regtech associated areas of law
  • Analytical mindset and methodical approach to problem solving.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Capability to adapt and willingness to learn in a fast-moving entrepreneurial environment.
  • Ability to confidently communicate with and engage with stakeholders.

Added bonus if you have:

  • Strong familiarity with financial services regulatory work across capital markets and/or payments including the relevant regulations and processes.
  • Industry and/or personal knowledge and interest in digital assets, blockchain and/or DLT
