Reports to: Chief Technology Officer

W3BCLOUD is looking to add a smart contract developer to the team. The role will take responsibility for deploying secure smart contracts, bespoke tooling, APIs and automations aligned with product roadmaps. This person is endlessly curious, wants to learn new decentralized development technologies as they emergeIs a self-starter who works well in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment driving tangible business results. Working closely with the CTO and product teams, you will provide input, direction and access to the wider ecosystem through established relationships in the Blockchain space.

Key Areas of Responsibility

• Architect, design and implement secure and reliable apps in Solidity
• Drive high-level decisions about W3bCloud protocol design and smart contract architecture
• Write well-documented, performant, clean, and re-usable Solidity code
• Test and deploy smart contracts
• Develop frameworks, core modules and libraries to create reusable code components to ease development
• Collaborate with designers and frontend engineers to bring our dapps to life
• Internal quality control and audit of smart contracts
• Collaborate with the CTO and product teams to design, scope, build requirements and deliver future product and services releases
• Ensure the safety of users deploying rigorous security and ethical standards throughout the development stack
• Integrate future products across leading platforms and protocols
• Research multiple dapp protocols, provide input and vision about the industry
• Work closely with the top crypto projects in the space
• Help shape the engineering team by assisting engineering recruitment
• Ability to read and easily understand technical whitepapers
• Participate in many blockchain protocol communication channels - discord, telegram, twitter, etc. to enhance knowledge of, stay up to date on and build relationships with DeFi projects
• Build relationships with key leaders, protocols and teams in the blockchain ecosystem

• 2+ years of relevant experience as a Smart Contract Developer
• 5+ years experience in software engineering
• Expert knowledge of Solidity, EVM, smart contract design patterns, and security best practices
• Experience writing comprehensive test suites for smart contracts
• Experience deploying smart contracts on Ethereum/EVM chains
• Strong mathematical and/or economics modelling skills
• Deep technical understanding of and passion for DeFi and crypto in general
• Solid experience in delivering resilient and secure code in Solidity
• Knowledge and experience of the test-driven development
• Familiar with the common Smart Contract vulnerabilities
• Solid understanding about Ethereum infrastructure, e.g. like Gnosis, TheGraph
• Experience delivering on other L1s and L2s is preferred, but not required
• Must understand blockchain basics: transactions, wallets, smart contracts, double spend, transactions pool, mining
• Experience working with collaboration tools such as Airtable, Discord, Telegram, and Zoom
• Autonomous in taking ownership and at the same time team player
• Detail-oriented and highly organized
• Required experience using Hardhat + Waffle + Chai + Ethers.js for writing smart contract tests
• Required experience using Solidity security testing tools (e.g. Slither, Echidna, Mithril)
