About the Opportunity ✍️

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Controller to join our finance team. The Controller will play a critical role in managing our company's financial operations, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and maintaining effective internal controls. This position will report directly to the Chief Financial Officer and collaborate with various departments to support our financial strategy and business growth.

What you will do…

Financial Reporting:

Prepare and oversee the timely and accurate preparation of financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, cash flow statements, and accompanying disclosures.

Ensure compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and other relevant accounting standards.

Financial Analysis:

Conduct financial analysis, trend analysis, and financial modeling to support strategic decision-making.

Provide actionable insights based on financial data to drive business improvements.

Internal Controls:

Establish and maintain effective internal control procedures to safeguard company assets and ensure the accuracy of financial records.

Implement and monitor financial policies and procedures.

Audit:

Coordinate and manage external audits, including liaising with auditors and providing necessary documentation.

Team Leadership:

Supervise and mentor finance and accounting staff, fostering their professional development and growth.

Promote a culture of accountability and continuous improvement within the finance team.

Financial Systems and Technology:

Evaluate, implement, and optimize financial systems and tools to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

Stay informed about industry best practices and emerging technologies.

What you will need…

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA designation preferred.

• 12+years of progressive experience in accounting and finance roles, with 8 years in a supervisory or management capacity.

• Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and internal controls.

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Proficiency in financial software and ERP systems.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

• Strong leadership and people management skills

Pay transparency statement:

The base salary range for this position in the selected city is $200,000 - $250,000 annually.​
Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience and location. Base pay is one part of the Total Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work, and this role may be eligible for additional benefits.
