Web3 Data Scientist

Role and Responsibilities
We are hiring a Data Scientist to join EIV’s core team, working both with the founders of EIV as well as with founders of our portfolio companies. Your main responsibilities will be to implement frameworks for automating and presenting analytics, reports, and data monitoring for various decentralized protocols. You will be a key individual contributor to product MVPs and help take products from 0 to 1.

*Full-time and remote. No preference in location. Additional compensation in terms of bonus and equity will be discussed on a per-candidate basis. *

What you will do

• Architect, build, refine, and increase automation and robustness of research infrastructure, including data access, risk modeling, and backtesting components
• Dive deep into existing protocols to understand market needs/gaps and advise founders on product direction

What you bring

• Masters degree or higher in Computer Science or other quantitative discipline
• 2+ years of professional experience developing infrastructure to support an investment team
• Strong programming skills with at least some knowledge of databases: Python, R, Tableau, Keras, PyTorch; AWS / Digital Ocean familiarity
• Solid background in math/statistics/finance and strong familiarity with quantitative research methodologies and machine learning algorithms
• Understanding of and experience with data pipelines
• Ability to contribute to the analytics, quant research, and development process
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Flexibility to take on ad hoc projects with quick turnover
• Excellent English communication skills
