As a comprehensive solution for all digital asset strategies from start to scale, FalconX operates as the connective tissue empowering clients with seamless navigation through the ever- evolving cryptocurrency landscape.Impact As Deputy CLO, you will be responsible for ensuring FalconX’s Legal, Compliance and Public Policy Functions operate in an efficient manner that keeps pace with business growth and product expansion. You will serve as a key liaison between these functions and all other critical stakeholders at the company. This is a unique opportunity to join in a high visibility, high-impact role working directly with the executive management. Responsibilities
Ensure all CLO teams are resourced correctly Align the team’s goals with all business goals Develop and manage key metrics to provide the CLO and executive leadership with visibility into department performance and areas needing improvement Serve as a troubleshooter across the function, improving department processes and promptly addressing team performance issues Plan team events, all hands and meetings and build out platforms for team information sharing Spearhead major projects (including technology and process improvements) Serve as a strategic advisor to the CLO on the functions most sensitive projects and closely collaborate with FalconX’s General Counsel and Chief Compliance Officer to identify the most critical goals for the function and ensure their completion Manage departmental spend and engage in efforts to reduce expenses without impacting department effectiveness. Take a holistic view of what’s going on in the function and stand in for the CLO as necessary in executive meetings Flex to meet the needs of the organization, including the ability to context switch and support projects in different domain areas
Requirements
10+ years working across multiple legal and compliance areas Very strong project management and planning skills Ability to make thoughtful legal decisions Ability to communicate complex legal and compliance concepts to senior management in a succinct yet comprehensive manner Strong background in financial services and technology Self-starter with a track record of balancing multiple projects at once Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills are a must Concise, persuasive, and authentic communicator both verbally and in written communication High gear operator who does not take no for an answer Superb judgment and integrity, unparalleled confidentiality, and sophistication in all aspects of work Experience planning and leading strategic initiatives Excellent organizational skills Crypto experience is desirable
Base pay for this role is expected to be between $375,000 - $470,000 USD for New York City and San Francisco Bay Area. This expected base pay range is based on information at the time this post was generated. This role will also be eligible for other forms of compensation such as a performance linked bonus, equity, and a competitive benefits package.
