We are one of the largest bitcoin miners in the United States. We are headquartered in Las Vegas, NV, and independently own and operate five data centers in Georgia for a total developed capacity of 230 MW. We are developing an additional 150 MW at our data center in Sandersville, GA. We have a partner in Massena, NY, that hosts 50 MW for us. The Deputy Director of Security at CleanSpark will manage the operation and administration of an in-house security team. The role will also help to develop and implement appropriate security and facility policies and procedures. The role demands a strategic thinker capable of planning, executing, and adapting security measures to safeguard assets, facilities, and personnel.  

Duties and Responsibilities

    • Developing and implementing appropriate security and facility policies and procedures. 
    • Directing subordinate supervisors and other subordinate staff. 
    • Directing and personally monitoring security functions and activities to maintain the security of each mining facility. 
    • Identifying training needs and provides guidance and training to security staff. 
    • Interviewing, hiring, directs, trains, evaluates the performance of, and when necessary, disciplines and discharges staff. 
    • Directing administrative activities for security staff. 
    • Managing the operations and activities of each facility’s security team  
    • Monitoring budget activities of the security teams at each facility. 
    • Monitoring, inspecting, and evaluating operations, programs, services, activities, and conditions. 
    • Overseeing and/or conduct inspections, searches, investigations, and evaluations. 
    • Performing crisis response, containment, and intervention in emergencies. 
    • Planning, implementing, directing and coordinates various programs and activities. 
    • Executive security, which includes travel 

Minimum Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree in a related field from an accredited college or university AND Three years of closely related experience in a criminal justice or correctional system 
    • OR Three years of supervisory custodial experience in a criminal justice or correctional system, one year of which is at a level equivalent to a manager in a law enforcement setting. 
    • Valid driver's license 

Preferred Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in criminal justice, Business or Public Administration or related field. 
    • Three (3) or more years of management experience in law enforcement. 
    • Five (5) or more years of experience in criminal justice or correctional system.
