Stargate Finance is a fully composable liquidity transport protocol that sits at the heart of Omnichain DeFi. It was the first, and is still the largest, protocol built on top of LayerZero’s general messaging. Over the past 2 years, Stargate has grown to become by far the largest bridge in DeFi, having done over $30B in volume across 25 chains. 

The Stargate Foundation is an independent foundation dedicated to supporting the protocol and DAO. The Foundations role primarily is to facilitate the will of the DAO, including liaising with technical execution and business partners.

About the role

The Stargate Foundation seeks a Developer Relations Engineer to enhance our developer ecosystem by creating accessible technical documentation, providing technical support to developers, and fostering community engagement. This role involves supporting business development efforts with integration support and details, coordinating with the marketing team for developer-focused events, and contributing to developer marketing strategies. Ideal for a candidate who excels in technical communication, community engagement, and has a genuine desire to help others succeed in the DeFi space.

What you’ll do

• Develop and Maintain Technical Documentation: Keep up-to-date comprehensive, user-friendly documentation that empowers developers to build on the Stargate protocol efficiently.

• Technical Liaison and Support: Act as the primary contact for projects and developers, offering technical guidance and resolving issues to facilitate their success. Work alongside technical execution partners to ensure efficient Stargate deployments.

• Community Engagement: Foster a positive and interactive developer community, leveraging our community platforms to support and engage with developers.

• Event Hosting and Participation: Plan, host, and participate in events (both virtual and physical) aimed at promoting developer engagement and showcasing Stargate’s composability.

• Business Development Support: Assist in business development calls and meetings, providing technical insight and assistance. 

About you

• Strong foundation (2-4 years experience) in software development, blockchain, and DeFi concepts. Good at translating complex technical information into accessible content.

• Experience in developer relations or a similar role within DeFi, ability to grow vibrant technical communities.

• Able to identify opportunities for engagement and growth within the developer ecosystem.

• Eager to collaborate across departments to achieve shared goals and enhance the Stargate ecosystem.
