The role

We at Esplan Trading are looking for a seasoned veteran in the cryptocurrency space experienced in leading development teams. You will be responsible for the technical side of a big chunk of all trading operations - trading on DeFi exchanges.
This position is currently fully remote and can stay remote indefinitely. However, there will be an opportunity to work on-site from our office in London after the pandemic.

Responsibilities

• Develop technical architecture for DeFi trading operations.
• Develop and deliver on a development road map.
• Build and lead a DeFi development team.
• Work on integrating decentralized exchanges and optimizing infrastructure for on-chain execution.
• Work closely with traders and other developers to create integrations with the current trading and monitoring systems that are in place.
• Lead the research into enabling in-house algorithmic trading on newly launched or about to launch DeFi protocols.
• Follow the best practices and maintain overall responsibility for all project deliverables.

Requirements

• Extensive knowledge of DeFi and blockchain, smart contracts, and decentralized protocols.
• At least 2 years experience working on Ethereum (Solidity knowledge is a must).
• Strong CS fundamentals: a deep understanding of systems architecture, networking, design patterns, data structures, and algorithms.
• Experience managing a development team.
• Trading knowledge is a big plus.
