Foundry is hiring a Web3 Infrastructure Systems Engineer
Compensation: $54k - $80k estimated

DESCRIPTION: The Infrastructure Systems Engineer position is a rare and exciting opportunity for a motivated and passionate individual to join the team at DCG Foundry, a newly formed subsidiary of the blockchain industry’s most prolific and active investor, Digital Currency Group. The Infrastructure Systems Engineer will be focused on a multitude of activities, including systems administration, cloud deployments, crypto protocol review and monitoring. This is a rare invitation to join a small, highly professional entrepreneurial group, with the backing of the most established player in the fast-growing crypto space.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: The Infrastructure Systems Engineer role is responsible for being integrated into the multiple areas that comprise day to day deployment and maintenance of on-premise and cloud infrastructure, in conjunction with understanding and monitoring numerous crypto protocols.
WHAT YOU WILL DO:
- Ubuntu Linux system administration
- Cloud administration leveraging AWS, GCP, Digital Ocean, Alibaba Cloud and Nutanix
- Operating staking and running validating node efforts
- Ability to monitor and maintain nodes and staking services
- Automate deployment, validation, and quality control processes across diverse infrastructure
- Build services and infrastructure that help to automate the deployment of blockchain network infrastructure
- Knowledge of data protection, recovery, failover procedures
- Experience in containerizing modern applications such as Docker and Kubernetes
- Work with SOC II compliance protocols
Minimum Qualifications; Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Bachelor's degree in a technical field such as computer science, computer engineering or related field, or equivalent experience.
- Passionate about technology and interested in various crypto assets, blockchain, and tech entrepreneurship
- Strong understanding of web services, databases, and data analysis
- Interest in researching topics related to digital assets, and staking
- Have a working knowledge of databases and monitoring systems
- Working knowledge of Proof of Stake and/or interest to learn development
