As the People Operations Lead for the US, your role encompasses operational management of US operations, policies, and benefits, as well as exceptional communication. Your primary responsibility is to ensure our HR practices in the US are robust, compliant, and aligned with our values. This includes overseeing policy ideation and implementation, benefits administration, and ensuring seamless operational functionality across various states.

Simultaneously, your role demands excellence in communication. You will be pivotal in conveying our core values and policies, ensuring our employees understand and value them. This aspect of your role is critical in maintaining our commitment to peace of mind, empathy, and accountability, which are at the heart of our People Operations philosophy. By balancing these dual responsibilities, you will play a key role in sustaining our reputation as an employer of choice and upholding our dedication to attracting and retaining top-tier talent.

What You'll Be Doing

    • US Entity Administration: Take full ownership of administering our US operations. This includes setting policies, ensuring compliance across different states, and managing our relationship with PEO provider Sequoia
    • Communication Excellence: Be an outstanding communicator, adept at engaging and influencing diverse stakeholders. Your role will involve both internal and external communication, focusing on presenting our policies and values compellingly and transparently
    • Employer Branding: Lead initiatives to enhance our employer branding, ensuring our value proposition is clearly communicated and appreciated both within and outside the organization
    • Process Optimization: Streamline and optimize HR processes and policies, ensuring they align with business needs and adhere to regulatory requirements
    • Collaboration and Compliance: Work closely with People Engagement Managers, the Recruitment team, our Legal team and other departments for seamless HR operations, maintaining a constant focus on legal compliance and best practices

What We Look For in You

    • Several years of HR Operations or HR Generalist experience in a startup environment
    • Strong skills in developing and executing processes and employer branding strategies
    • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced and constantly changing environment
    • A strong sense of empathy and the ability to manage sensitive situations effectively (low ego)
    • A passion for creating and maintaining a positive employee experience
    • Excellent communication skills, with proficiency in English
    • High attention to detail
    • Impeccable level of discretion when handling confidential or sensitive information
    • Passion for emerging technologies and creative problem-solving in decentralized systems
    • Eagerness to stay updated with tech trends and ability to quickly adapt to new technological landscapes
