Web3 Project Manager

At o1Labs, our mission is to catalyze a new generation of applications powered by zero knowledge cryptography. We are looking for a dynamic and experienced Project Manager with a strong technical background who will be a part of the Engineering organization. This is a chance to join a small, collaborative team and gain much independence while working on fascinating cross-disciplinary computing problems.   Responsibilities:

Help ensure that our engineering team ships at a healthy cadence Assist Engineering in defining and updating timelines Assist Engineering in identifying appropriate stakeholders during project formation Assist Engineering in defining the criteria and metrics for success during project formation Identify process improvement opportunities and lead their implementation to improve development velocity Support engineering teams in the planning and prioritization of work Foster a spirit of collaboration and collective decision-making within the company  Set up and manage tools and processes for monitoring the progress and status of work, as well as impact and success of projects Establish plans and schedules to help teams attain their goals Facilitate relationships and communication between the engineering team and stakeholders Identify opportunities and challenges in processes across the Engineering organization and make recommendations for continuous improvement Oversee the end-to-end project lifecycle, from planning, through execution, to documenting, monitoring and reporting Ensure that various engineering projects remain coordinated, including releases and collaboration with external parties Implement effective risk management strategies, identifying, assessing, and mitigating potential project risks

  Requirements  

Extensive experience leading, coordinating, and/or facilitating software teams A proven track record of delivering on complex technical projects and shipping technical products Familiarity with and interest in blockchain products, as well as an eagerness to learn more Excellent communication and social skills Strong organization and documentation skills Experience with gathering requirements and formulating acceptance criteria An ability to meet teams where they are at, and guide them in adopting and iteratively improving on processes in ways that meet their unique needs Experience in blockchain projects is a plus Detail-oriented with the ability to create and maintain useful project documentation Strong problem-solving skills, addressing challenges proactively and finding effective solutions to ensure project success
