Paradigm is hiring a Web3 Quantitative Strategist - Remote
Compensation: $45k - $75k estimated

The role
We’re seeking a Quantitative Strategist with a passion for finding and shaping actionable insights through expert quant data analysis. You should have specific experience as a quantitative strategist or analyst for a leading bank/brokerage/trading firm or electronic trading platform with a track record of crunching market data to find actionable insights. This position requires you to recognize patterns in trading flows, connect dots and ultimately help develop the strategic vision from the firm and our customers.
Responsibilities
In this role youwill work integrally with Liquidity Management, Sales and Marketing teams to support Data analysis and strategy for Crypto Derivatives Trading markets. To be successful, you must be highly analytical, a self-starter, responsive and passionate about financial markets.
We are looking to hire an individual who can demonstrate full strategy life cycle experience, from idea generation through to implementation, researching quantitative strategies focused on one of the following: Volatility Trading, Electronic Order Flows (Quality and Toxicity) or Execution Quality (TCA, Best Execution). This role is particularly suited for someone with a strong data background and experience of working with both standard as well as alternative data sets.
Requirements
- Degree in a technical or quantitative disciplines, like statistics, mathematics, physics, electrical engineering, or computer science (all levels welcome, from bachelor’s to doctorate)
- Minimum of 3+ years of Quantitative Research experience working with Trading/Market Data
- Strong programming skills with a statistical or quantitative language such as Matlab, R, Python or Julia
- Proven knowledge of and experience managing the full research cycle including creating hypothesis, data analysis, data interpretation, actionable insights and presenting those findings to internal and external stakeholders
- Experience performing an in-depth research project, examining real-world market data
- Ability to think independently and communicate complex ideas clearly
- Experience analyzing large datasets (structured and unstructured)
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to interact and liaise effectively with institutional customers and partners
- Data savvy personality with proven attention to detail and accuracy
- Equally adept at working in a cross-functional team (i.e. sales, engineering,, marketing,) as well as independently
- Demonstration of “thinking beyond the task”: What’s the big idea, how will we find it, what’s the real answer to the question being asked?
Nice to have
- Experience of deploying machine learning models into a production environment
- Knowledge Pytorch or Tensorflow, both for research and deploying at scale
- Experience with optimizing algorithms to run real-time
- Proven client relationship skills, as well as strong project management skills and ability to lead clients (market makers, hedgers, proprietary traders, institutional execution desks)
- Able to lead smaller engagements as day-to-day contact, and be a respected voice on larger engagements
- Proven organizational and problem solving skills with the ability to prioritize multiple duties
