Web3 Senior Product Designer

As a Senior Product Designer at Newton, a Canadian trading platform, you will be an integral part of the product design process from ideation to launch. You will use your skills in product, interaction, UX, and visual design to craft industry-leading user experiences for users in the world of cryptocurrency trading.

In this role, you will be laser focused on redefining the user experience across Newton’s web and mobile platforms. You will drive the conceptualization and development of features aimed at enhancing the end to end experience to increasing adoption and to drive engagement across one of the largest regulated crypto trading platforms in Canada. You will lead the product design team to work hand in hand with product managers to conduct user research, conceptualize, ideate, prototype, and to iterate on your ideas.

As a Senior Product Designer, you will be responsible for:

• Develop, maintain, and own a deep understanding of our users, their needs, and pain points to create intuitive and engaging user interfaces
• Establish design standards and guidelines to ensure a consistent, high-quality user experience across all of our web and mobile experiences
• Conduct user research, usability testing, and data analysis to inform and validate design decisions
• Lead and mentor a small team of designers, providing guidance on best practices, design principles, and project management
• Drive continuous improvement in the design and usability of our products, using metrics and user feedback to inform decisions
• Coordinate with developers to assess technical constraints for designs and work hand in hand with Product Managers to make the right tradeoffs between user experience and development complexity
• Own the design process across Newton, diagnose UX and UI problems, and develop solutions to improve the user experience
• Drive continuous improvement in the design and usability of our products, using metrics and user feedback to inform decisions

Requirement:

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in product design or related field, with a focus on B2C digital products and platforms (experience in the cryptocurrency or financial services industry is a plus)
• Experience and passion for leading, mentoring, and managing design teams
• Deep product design experience spanning web, desktop, mobile 
• A strong portfolio demonstrating expertise in user-centered design, including user research, interaction design, visual design, and prototyping
• Proficiency in design tools such as Sketch, Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar
• Strong knowledge of user experience design principles and user research  and best practices, with a keen eye for detail and aesthetics


You should have a portfolio of work on which you played a significant role in leading large-scale, high impact projects for both desktop and mobile.
