Ethereum is hiring a
Web3 Team Lead, Ecosystem Support Program

Location: Fully Remote

About the Ethereum Foundation

The Ethereum Foundation (EF) is a global non-profit organization dedicated to supporting Ethereum. Our mission is to do what is best for Ethereum’s long-term success. We do this by allocating resources to critical projects, being a positive voice within the Ethereum ecosystem, and advocating for Ethereum to the outside world.

The EF Ecosystem Support Program (ESP) is a grants program with an unusually broad scope. We receive support applications from both inside and outside the Ethereum community and allocate EF resources to promote the success and growth of the ecosystem. Most of our support goes to open source development projects, with a particular focus on universal tools, infrastructure, research, and public goods.

Your mission

Your mission is to level up the advice and financial support the Ethereum Foundation delivers to the ecosystem, in collaboration with the EF's other support programs. As team lead of the Ecosystem Support Program, you will help your team identify and execute on opportunities to connect with communities in new geographies and technical domains, strengthen relationships with existing support recipients, and take smart risks to fast track important new developments in Ethereum's open source public goods. You and your team will work with other members of the community to supercharge Ethereum's future.

Passionate and capable new contributors are looking to build on Ethereum every day. They face common obstacles - the technology is complex and the landscape is changing constantly. ESP works to lower barriers to entry, to draw new contributors into the community by helping them find success, and to magnify the impact of their work. That can mean giving advice, making connections, validating ideas, or providing financial support. Your team will identify what's needed to help community members succeed.

Core responsibilities

Facilitate the success of your team. ESP is small and you should be ready to roll up your sleeves and get involved from time to time. Nevertheless, as team lead the quality of your work will be shown in the performance of your team. Their wins are your wins, and you will find success together.

Align your team with EF strategy and drive team progress towards it. You will be responsible for setting direction and priorities in consultation with your team, and you will be accountable for ensuring that your team fulfills its role in the EF's overall strategy. You will be entrusted to make changes to process and team composition in order to meet your objectives.
