The Role

As Technical Writer at Overclock Labs you will join a small, fast-growing team of professionals who spearhead the adoption of Akash Network. This role reports into the Product organization, that includes product management, design, developer relations and technical documentation functions. You will own and drive the information architecture of our technical documentation and produce content for product releases, working closely with Product & Engineering. You will need to be hands-on with the product (try out happy paths) and shadow engineers to learn about more complex workflows, in order to create user guides and how-tos. The content you produce will highlight features, benefits, and functionality of the Akash Network, its utility token (AKT), as well as the ecosystem of tools around it. Through written and visual content, you will support ongoing product documentation to clearly articulate the platform’s capabilities and administration mechanics. Technical content is focused around Golang based CLI, web-based frontend applications and interaction with APIs. Familiarity with Docker or equivalent and containerized applications is desired.

Requirements

    • 5+ years of experience with technical documentation on technical products/SaaS platforms
    • Passionate about communicating emerging technologies
    • Strong writing skills and attention to detail 
    • Ability to present information clearly and concisely
    • Experience working with developer communities
    • Experience with technical writing for developer focused products, ideally for containerized applications or similar cloud native infrastructure
    • Unfazed by github readmes (markdown) and developer documentation
    • While prior knowledge of blockchains is not a requirement, familiarity with and a desire to learn about proof-of-stake consensus based chains, decentralization and Web3.0 is a nice-to-have
    • Ability to learn quickly in a fast-paced startup environment 
    • Proven ability to work with design, product and engineering in an Agile development processes
    • Ability to prioritize, time manage and work with a distributed team, across multiple time zones

Responsibilities

    • Collaborate with the Akash Product, Engineering, Support and Community teams to document emerging features and capabilities 
    • Be part of the Product and Engineering workflow to document emerging product features
    • Ensure product documentation is digestible by both highly technical and non-technical audiences, leading to greater product usage and adoption by key user personas and ecosystem partners
    • Convert frequent and prominent issues received by the support organization as Knowledge Base (KB) articles
