About the Role:
We are seeking a Business Development Manager with a strong passion for sustainability to lead the commercial engagement process and secure new opportunities with high-impact corporate partners, funds, and ecosystem players. In this role, you will work closely with Brinc leadership to identify potential clients who share our vision for a more sustainable future and manage the full sales cycle, from qualification, proposal development, and contract signing. It is expected that you will have a proven track record of reaching out to potential clients who prioritize sustainability and have had success in developing long-term relationships. As organizations continue to prioritize sustainability, this is a unique opportunity to be part of a team that is committed to sustainable growth in MedTech, ClimateTech, and FoodTech. You will have the opportunity to grow and manage strategic accounts to create long-term value for both Brinc and our partners who share our commitment to sustainability. In addition to expanding your network with top corporate, technology company, university, and government contacts, this role is critical to driving Brinc’s Hong Kong operations forward and making a positive impact towards a sustainable future.
What you will do:
- Identify opportunities where Brinc offerings and/or portfolio companies can help potential partners achieve their goals
- Navigate complex and consultative sales cycles with a variety of stakeholders, managing the opportunity lifecycle from ideation to closing a sale
- Work with local sales team to define target verticals, ensure client satisfaction and consistently drive the overall quality of the Brinc brand
- Secure a pipeline of new strategic opportunities through market analysis, outside calls, and relationship development
- Collaborate with leadership to establish new clients including strategic partnerships, corporate innovation projects, custom programs and network access to establish additional revenue streams
- Collaborate across portfolio, accelerators, funds, and sales to identify key areas across the Brinc platform that can be used to give insight and learnings to partners
- Support sales teams in driving partner strategies and execution by working closely with Brinc leadership teams to exceed revenue goals while fostering a culture of excellence
About you:
- 5+ years of business development or direct sales experience, consistently closing strategic deals upward of six figures
- A proven track record of developing long-term relationships at senior leadership levels of corporates, universities, governments, technology companies, entrepreneurs, and funds
- An extensive network of relationships with key corporate, technology companies, university, government, and investor stakeholders
- A deep understanding of entrepreneurial/venture capital ecosystems
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with an ability to effectively present and negotiate with senior leadership
- Experience using Hubspot or similar CRMs to record, track and report status
- An ability to act as a bridge between the cultural and operational differences between corporates and startups is a plus
- Fluent English language skills are a must, other languages a plus
