Digital Assets Team

Maven’s Digital Assets team are passionate about innovation and challenging existing processes. We are looking for an individual who shares our curious nature and enjoys constantly learning about digital currencies as well as being enthralled by finding new methods to monetize them. This is an opportunity to be part of a highly ambitious crypto trading operation and in our relatively small yet growing team, we will give you the freedom to operate and make decisions that will truly impact the business.

The Risk Manager will be based in our London office and will be overseeing market and operational risks within the trading team. You will be working closely with other members of the Digital Assets team as well as with our trading, technology, operations, compliance and legal teams to identify and mitigate risk proactively.

WHAT YOU’RE GOING TO DO:

• Build, improve and monitor appropriate risk controls for our Digital Assets trading business covering DeFi and CeFi areas
• Work closely with risk team colleagues across the globe who cover traditional finance trading groups
• Perform investigations into operational risk incidents and build processes to avoid them
• Continual questioning of our market and operational risk culture; i.e. Is it holistic, does it suit our evolving business?

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

• Unmatched thirst to learn about digital assets space
• Demonstrable experience in risk managing digital assets trading strategies
• Excellent understanding of the systematic and discretionary considerations involved in the risk management of a trading book
• Demonstrable communication skills with stakeholders at different levels of the business
• Knowledge into crypto operational risk assessment
• Strong coding skills (Python, SQL)
• Keen eye for detail
• An ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
