As we continue to deploy our user-facing applications to production, we are constantly enhancing the properties and guarantees provided by Assembly as well as driving our future market fit. Every product manager is empowered to provide significant impact through technical insight and leadership. Assembly draws from cutting edge research in the fields of distributed systems, cryptography, and programming language theory and applies it to solve real world problems on rapid timelines. This makes Symbiont an exciting and intellectually stimulating place to work.
What You'll Do
A Symbiont Product Manager owns and leads the product development process at Symbiont. They interface with stakeholders, including clients, business development, and Engineering colleagues to ensure we build the right things the right way. This will involve taking responsibility for several projects simultaneously, managing them through the full software development life cycle, and ensuring they are delivered successfully.
The Symbiont Assembly Application Node is a component within Assembly that is responsible for handling all external requests to the blockchain. It acts as the central engine of Assembly by handling storage, cryptography, privacy, and generating effects for client applications. The Application Node product manager interfaces closely with internal and external development teams to ensure that the capabilities of the component enable developers to build high-quality applications.
In addition to specific responsibilities for the Application Node component, Product Managers are expected to align the overall Assembly platform with the strategy and vision of the company. Candidates should be both highly technical and business aware. They should be independent, responsible, self-motivated, organized, detail-oriented and fast learners; and also very comfortable working across teams in a dynamic environment to produce mission-critical software of the highest quality.
You'll need to have:
- Recent experience building software applications
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with both internal and external parties in a variety of written/verbal settings
- Excellent technical writing skills
- Depth of experience with full SDLC
- Ability to produce high-quality functional specifications and requirements documentation within agreed timelines
- Adaptable and willing to pivot as needed to build the Assembly platform.
- We're a fully distributed company spread over multiple continents. This means a heavy focus on written collaboration and video meetings, with occasional time zone flexibility.
- Growth mindset - we are not just hiring for now we are hiring for who you can become.
We'd love to see:
- Background in blockchain, crypto, web3 and/or fintech
- Experience working with databases, particularly NoSQL
- Backend development experience
- Experience with cryptographic standards and processes
Salary Range:
- $180,000 - $240,000
