Working at Wintermute  

We are looking for a Frontend Engineer to work with us on a contract basis, with the engagement lasting between 15-20 weeks. We are seeking someone who is passionate about building products and applications that people find useful and enjoy using.

What will you work on

This role involves working closely with our Senior Frontend Engineer to develop front-end applications for Wintermute's new trading products and client-facing portals.

Requirements

    • 3+ years of experience as a front-end developer in a high-performing institution, with a preference for candidates who have scale-up experience and have owned the delivery of a full product or a full feature group.
    • Strong proficiency in Next.js (React library), HTML, CSS and TypeScript.
    • Proven experience building complex, SEO-friendly website architectures from scratch.
    • Experience working on client-facing, public internet services.

Nice to have Requirements

    • Experience with PHP, Symphony, WordPress and JavaScript would be a plus.
    • Experience in professional services (e.g., finance, insurance) is a plus.
    • Proficiency in Russian is a plus.

Note:

    • Location: UK preferred (not necessarily London, but must be able to commute occasionally), though this is not mandatory
    • Availability: Immediate start for a 15-20 week engagement
