Skills & experience we're looking for 👨‍💻

• 6 to 10 years of work experience with a solid understanding of best practices for engineering process, code quality, build/release pipelines, security and live operations
• Familiarity with programming languages and platforms (Java, Python)
• Ensure high-quality standards are met whilst balancing the fast-paced nature of the environment
• Driving accountability of the team
• Strong coding skills in Java and/or Python.
• Should have a strong understanding of TCP/IP & UDP protocols.
• Proficiency in designing REST APIs with JSON & XML formats
• Proficiency in designing relational databases and schemas for relational databases
• Strong Object Oriented design and architecture skills
• Proven ability to architect and design large and complicated systems
• Excellent communication skills – particularly the ability to discuss timelines, design concerns, and provide helpful feedback to team members
• Experience with common workflow tools like source control (GIT), bug tracking (JIRA), etc

• Effectively run and lead a team of incredible software engineers and ensure the deliverables are met.
• Drive technical excellence by validating technology choices, architectural design and code quality, diving deeper when necessary
• Be the voice of the team in interacting with various stakeholders across disciplines both inside and outside of the organization
• Collaborate with design, product, analytics, user experience, live operations, central and leadership teams to specify and build features and development tools
• Coordinate closely with other disciplines (especially Product and Design) to ensure alignment against larger organizational goals
