Virtually Human Studios (VHS) is exploring the fringes of entertainment delivery for the next generation. Founded in 2019, Virtually Human is a gaming and entertainment blockchain startup and proud creators of the viral NFT gaming platform of its time ZED RUN. VHS has partnered with some of the most innovative and leading gaming and sports giants around the world, including Unikrn and Atari just to name a few.
The Role
As Corporate Counsel at VHS, you will be involved with exciting legal issues, and helping us to disrupt markets with cutting edge innovative technology. You will work within, and be guided by, a very experienced legal team. This is not a role for those who like repetition. Having an understanding of blockchain, and NFTs would help, however, it is not essential - we can teach you. At VHS, we innovate, and therefore you will have a high level of attention to detail, an appetite for research, be very organised, and be keen to be part of something new.
This is a WFH role.
Responsibilities
- Research applicable laws globally
- Advise on, and drafting, legal agreements
- Assist with licensing applications, and maintain compliance objectives
- Collaborate with a global team
- Assist with regulator interaction
- Other activities associated with a Corporate Counsel role
Minimum qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Law or equivalent
- 3-5 years post qualification experience in a law firm or in-house.
- Current Australian practising certificate.
Preferred Qualifications, skills and experience:
- Experience with AML / KYC.
- Corporate, employment, and IP law.
- Excellent research skills.
- Ability to work autonomously.
