Role and Responsibilities:

• Advise on a global strategy for the ongoing expansion of FreedX's licensing footprint;
• Manage licence and registration applications (crypto, payments), including the drafting of Regulatory Business Plans;
• Proactively engage and work with local regulators and represent the Business during regulatory applications;
• Advise and consult with the business & control functions on their legal obligations, for example under the VASP regime, MiCA and the EMRs;
• Advise and guide the Business on the launch of new product offerings by collaborating closely with internal teams and stakeholders;
• Oversee financial promotions ensuring that all customer communications are regulatory compliant and approved prior to circulation.
• Lead and mentor a team of junior lawyers, fostering collaborative and high-performance environment.

• Qualified lawyer.

• 5+ years of relevant experience applying financial regulations, whether at a law firm or in-house.
• Critically important to have a mindset that is team-oriented, plus proactive and entrepreneurial:an opportunity-making person who uses the law to increase the company’s optionality, not decrease it.
• Detailed knowledge of crypto regulation, including MiCA;
• Interest in the crypto industry / what our company is offering to the world and why.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and manage a team of legal professionals.
