Crypto Research Analyst (Digital Assets)

PEAK6 Digital Assets is scaling up! We are looking for a Crypto Research Analyst to deliver high quality analysis on specific coins, market dynamics, and more as we navigate this new, constantly changing cryptocurrency space. You will be joining a tight-knit team that is building solutions across everything from DeFi, treasury management, market analytics, to execution and risk management systems.

PEAK6 Digital Assets is a cryptocurrency trading firm and subsidiary of PEAK6 Group. As a Crypto Research Analyst, you will:

• Provide high quality analysis. Our research team provides analysis to our traders to evaluate how different coin dynamics, shifting industry standards, news, and risks are impacting our trading decisions and portfolio. You will break down and synthesize information which allows our traders to take advantage of market opportunities.
• Partner with trading teams. You’ll work closely with trading teams to communicate your research findings and make recommendations that will impact trading decisions with potential to own and manage the positions. Additionally, you will help lead training sessions to help educate our teams to ensure that drivers of changing market dynamics are effectively communicated and leveraged.
• Collaborate and share ideas. Perform well structured, deep dive research on specific cryptocurrencies to produce high conviction investment ideas.
• Develop and share a deep understanding of market structure, fundamental trends and regulatory considerations in the cryptocurrency markets
• Execute on initiatives and key milestones. This is a startup, and there will be a need to continually grow the business. You will collaborate with the team to prioritize those initiatives and ensure delivery against agreed upon milestones.

Additionally, as a key member of the PEAK6 Digital Assets team, you will work closely with business leaders across both Digital Assets and other PEAK6 businesses. Your experiences will give you unique opportunities to share and cross-pollinate with engineers, traders, and analysts across PEAK6’s portfolio of established trading businesses.

PEAK6 currently requires all employees as a condition of employment to either be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 or submit to regular testing. The CDC defines "fully vaccinated" as two weeks after the second dose for Pfizer and Moderna, and two weeks after the single dose of Johnson & Johnson. PEAK6 will also require proof of vaccination and/or testing.
