  • Risk Management & Disputes: Assist in risk mitigation strategies, manage legal disputes, and coordinate with external counsel as needed.
  • AML & Sanctions Policies: Work alongside compliance teams to implement and oversee anti-money laundering (AML) and sanctions frameworks where applicable.
  • Intellectual Property & Data Privacy: Provide advice on IP protection strategies and ensure compliance with global data privacy laws (e.g., GDPR, CCPA).
  • Government & Regulatory Engagement: Assist in interactions with regulators, industry bodies, and policymakers to help shape the DeFi regulatory landscape.
  • Internal Legal Operations: Improve legal workflows, oversee contract management, and support cross-functional teams on legal matters.

Requirements

  • J.D. or equivalent law degree from a top-tier institution and admission to practice law in at least one jurisdiction.
  • 8+ years of legal experience, with a strong focus on fintech, blockchain, securities, or financial regulation.
  • Expertise in DeFi, crypto, and blockchain regulations, including securities laws, data protection, AML/sanctions compliance, and global financial/VASP licensing regimes.
  • Experience working with regulators, including the SEC, CFTC, FINMA, FCA, or other financial authorities (desired but not mandatory).
  • Strong contract drafting and negotiation skills, particularly in technology, financial services, and commercial transactions.
  • Excellent problem-solving and risk assessment skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment.
  • Strong leadership and communication abilities, with experience managing teams and working cross-functionally.

What We Offer

  • Flexibility: Work remotely on your own schedule.
  • Growth and Innovation: Be part of a lean team that is constantly evolving and integrating the latest in trading technology.
