Financial Analyst/Accountant (Cryptocurrency)

Who are you?

Responsibilities:

1. Financial Data Management: Actively manage and maintain financial records using ledger-cli, ensuring accurate tracking of assets, liabilities, income, and expenses in multiple currencies.
2. Collaboration: Work closely with the COO/CTO and external accountant to ensure historical financial data is accurately formatted and integrated into the ledger database.
3. Reporting: Generate accurate financial reports in GAAP format and custom reports as requested by the management team, ensuring compliance and clarity.
4. Continuous Improvement: Proactively identify and implement improvements in financial data management and reporting processes.
5. Monthly Reviews: Prepare and present monthly financial summaries, highlighting key changes and insights.

Requirements:

1. Experience with ledger-cli: Proficiency in using ledger-cli for financial tracking and reporting.
2. Cryptocurrency Knowledge: Strong understanding of cryptocurrency accounting, including handling multiple currencies, token streams, and market fluctuations.
3. Financial Reporting: Ability to produce financial reports in GAAP format and custom reports as required.
4. Technical Proficiency: Comfort with a technical, engineering-oriented approach to financial management.

2. Communication: Effective communication skills to collaborate with the COO/CTO, external accountant, and the management team.
3. Adaptability: Ability to adapt to a rapidly changing financial landscape and learn quickly.

5. Time Management: Excellent organizational skills to manage monthly financial tasks efficiently.
