The Role

As a full-time analyst, you’ll step into a dynamic and hands on role on our investment team, actively engaging across a multitude of industries. In this position, you'll work directly with our partners and be expected to develop deep research and analysis, meet with founders to understand their vision and potential, and craft insightful internal memos and presentation materials. Your work will directly contribute to our decision-making process, requiring you to to analyze and present complex information with clarity and depth. This role is a unique opportunity to be at the heart of a rapidly growing investment firm that's actively allocating from its first fund, supported by top-tier institutional backers.

Key Responsibilities

• Financial Modeling & Valuation:Execute comprehensive financial analyses and equity valuation using established methods such as discounted cash flow, comparables, and precedent transactions. Creatively develop new valuation methodologies for blockchain and token investments.
• Venture Deal Analysis:Possess, or rapidly acquire, expertise in venture capital return economics, term sheets, deal structures, and cap table math. This knowledge is crucial for analyzing early-stage investment opportunities and integrating venture capital deal specifics into broader financial modeling practices.
• Dynamic Market Research:Engage in dynamic market research across an extensive array of industries and technologies. The ideal candidate will exhibit a strong enthusiasm for and capability in understanding diverse markets, with a particular focus on the evolving landscape of blockchain and its myriad real-world applications. The ability to divewith depthinto various subjects, identifying trends, opportunities, and risks, while employing both quantitative and qualitative research methods, is essential.
• Investment Communication:Utilize superior writing skills to articulate complex investment concepts and analyses through clear and compelling memoranda and presentation materials for both internal and external audiences. Assist partners in crafting insightful content that underscores our investment theses and market perspectives.
• Portfolio Company Support:Provide strategic support to portfolio companies, focusing on future financing preparation, M&A and other significant corporate activities.

Qualifications

• Professional Background: 1-3 years of experience in investment banking, venture capital, or related fields, with a deep understanding and enthusiasm for blockchain technology.
• Educational Credentials:Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Computer Science, or related disciplines, with excellent academic records preferred.
• Advanced Financial Acumen:Exceptional ability in financial modeling and analysis, including traditional and blockchain-specific valuation methods. Expertise in evaluating company valuations and understanding venture capital dynamics.
• Rapid Adaptability in Venture Analysis:Knowledge of, or the ability to quickly learn, venture deal analysis and apply it meaningfully.
• Exceptional Writing & Communications Abilities:Outstanding ability to convey complex investment concepts effectively across a variety of platforms to both internal and external audiences. Ability to support partners in content creation.
• Comprehensive Market Insight:Demonstrated ability to conduct broad, dynamic market research using quantitative and qualitative methods, capturing the essence of diverse industries and emerging technologies.
