About the position
Keyfactor is looking for an experienced and skilled Quality Assurance and Operations Manager to join our growing Engineering department at our offices in Stockholm.You will be leading our Quality Assurance and Operations organization effectively and drive the overall quality strategy and our product delivery infrastructure of the company. You will work closely with the other Engineering Directors and the Product Managers to drive our products forward to reaching agreed quality levels.
We believe you have: Strong QA management skills, allowing you to handle multiple initiatives while balancing short-term demands with long-term goals. You are dedicated to continuously improving QA processes, tools, and methodologies, always enhancing efficiency and effectiveness. You have a proven track record in implementing and managing automated testing frameworks and extensive experience with various software testing tools, including performance, load, and security testing.You excel in leading and managing organizational change, fostering a collaborative and inclusive team environment. Your ability to lead, mentor, and develop QA teams ensures products meet or exceed customer expectations for quality and performance. Additionally, you have actively participated in engineering leadership team, leading initiatives, and building a culture of dedication, collaboration, and mutual care.
The position is based in Stockholm office, follows hybrid work model with excellent flexible working practices. Applicants must hold a valid Right to Work in Sweden.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop and implement a QA strategy aligned with the company's goals and objectives
- Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance our products quality and efficiency
- Ensure testing and validation is meeting proper quality and performance
- Oversee the development and execution of automated and manual testing procedures
- Define, track, and analyze key quality metrics and KPIs
- Prepare and present quality reports to different stakeholders
- Analyze and optimize operational processes to improve productivity and reduce costs
- Implement best practices in operations management
- Manage resources, personnel, equipment, and budgets
- Develop and implement risk management plans and procedures
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory and safety standards
- Lead, mentor, and develop QA and operations teams
- Foster a culture of quality, continuous improvement, and accountability
- Identify training needs and provide opportunities for professional development
- Conduct performance evaluations and implement development plans for team members
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including development, product management, and customer support
- Ensure effective communication of quality and operational performance across the organization
- Develop and manage budgets for QA and operations departments
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field
- Significant experience in software quality assurance within senior leadership or director-level role.
- Extensive knowledge of QA methodologies, tools, and processes
- Deep understanding of SDLC, agile methodologies, DevOps, and CI/CD pipelines
- Experience in defining, tracking, and reporting QA metrics
- Ability to set and communicate a clear vision for the QA department aligned with organizational goals
- Experience in developing and executing long-term QA strategies
- Expertise in recruiting, retaining, and managing top QA talent
- Skills in setting performance goals, conducting evaluations, and implementing development plans
- Experience in identifying and mitigating risks related to product quality and delivery
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong collaboration skills to work effectively with other departments, such as development, product management, and operations.
- Strong focus on understanding and meeting customer needs and expectations
- Strong executive presence and the ability to influence and inspire at all levels of the organization
- Ability to thrive in a dynamic, growing environment and manage multiple priorities
- Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to addressing issues
IT WOULD BE A PLUS IF YOU ALSO HAVE:
- ISTQB software testing certifications
- Experience with Linux and understanding of container solutions (Docker/Kubernetes)
- Swedish language skills
COMPENSATION
Salary will be commensurate with experience.
