We’re looking for a passionate and driven Research Analyst to become a key member of our team, covering crypto projects, building relationships with DAOs, and driving meaningful insights through research and collaboration.

What You’ll Do

As a Research Analyst at DL Research, you will publish long-form, data-driven research reports on the DeFi ecosystem, with a particular focus on L1s/L2s, DeFi protocols, DAOs, and emerging trends. You’ll play a critical role in analyzing protocols, engaging with governance communities, and producing actionable insights for our audience of investors, institutions, and crypto-native participants.

Your daily work will involve:

• Conduct deep, structured analyses on crypto projects, market trends, and protocol mechanics, delivering insights that drive investment and strategic decisions.
• Actively engage in protocol governance, contribute to DAO discussions, and represent DL Research in key decision-making forums.
• Leverage your deep understanding of crypto to engage with major stakeholders and help shape the strategic direction of protocols.
• Stay ahead of market trends by tracking emerging narratives, governance developments, and key industry movements.
• Share research findings through reports, X (Twitter), Telegram, and other mediums, ensuring maximum visibility and impact.
• Work closely with our analysts, data specialists, and external partners to derive data-driven conclusions and structure high-value research initiatives.

Preferred Previous Experience

• You are crypto-native, with at least two years of experience in crypto research, DAO governance, investment analysis, or a related field.
• You’ve written long-form research reports on complex crypto topics and can distill technical concepts into clear, concise insights.
• You’ve actively participated in DAOs, serving as a delegate, contributing to governance discussions, or holding roles in grant, risk, or treasury councils.
• You have a strong analytical background, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to operate autonomously.
• You’re comfortable working in a fast-paced, research-driven environment, balancing multiple priorities while maintaining high-quality output.

Bonus Points If You Have

• Experience with data visualization and quantitative analysis using Python, SQL, or R.
• A background in financial modeling, valuation, or protocol tokenomics.
• A track record of executing governance proposals, protocol service engagements, or research consulting work.
• A deep interest in DeFi, onchain data, the EVM ecosystem, and evolving crypto narratives.

Compensation and Benefits

• Full-time position with a salary range of $65K–$75K, plus monthly commissions, based on experience.  
• We’re a remote-first team, though we prefer analysts based in North America to better align with team operations.
