Volume successfully launched Sommelier’s first iteration as PeggyJV, bringing the Cosmos Ethereum bridge to market and resulting in Sommelier raising a total of $26MM in funding to launch the first automated DeFi blockchain to manage Liquidity Provider capital on Ethereum via the Cosmos.

We are looking to add a Smart Contracts Auditor to our Engineering team. If hired into this role, you will have the chance to work across the full spectrum of our protocol architecture that is built around the Cosmos-SDK, built in Golang, Rust and Solidity. Our software empowers Sommelier validators to secure the Sommelier network which offers financial automation globally. As an early employee, you will be a critical part of our core team and have a significant influence over the direction of the company. Responsibilities:

• Oversee smart contracts and security measures
• Audit smart contracts with the highest standard of security in the industry
• Work closely with the rest of the engineering team to develop, design and implement security solutions
• Lead our risk program and establish best practices that will impact the security and long term success of Volume Finance
• Create independently, or collaborate with the engineering team to write and ship security features
• Research, document, and implement solutions that will ensure the long term success of Volume Finance
• Lead the creation of Volume “Red Team” to source and identify security issues with Volume and partner blockchain smart contracts.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree (minimum) in Computer Science is required
• A minimum of 5 years software engineering experience
• Experience developing and building on DeFi protocols and smart contracts
• Experience with unit testing, documentation, design reviews, and code review
• Good written communication in English is essential
• Understanding of Smart Contract Security Principles
• You are passionate about blockchain, have used DeFi dApps and believe in the opportunity of decentralization and blockchains to change how the financial world works today
• You thrive in a startup environment and feel best working in a small, cross-functional team where you can roll up your sleeves and be hands on
• Previous experience working with the Cosmos SDK or related technologies
