Sr. Software Engineer - ROR & Blockchain

Job brief:

We are looking for an experienced Back-end/Fullstack Developer to join our IT team. You will be responsible for the server side and occasionally front-end design and development of our web applications.

If you have excellent programming skills and a passion for developing applications or improving existing ones, we would love to meet you! As a Back-end/ Fullstack developer, you’ll work closely with our engineers and product managers to ensure system consistency and improve user experience.
Ultimately, you should be able to develop and maintain functional and stable web applications to meet our company’s needs.

Responsibilities:

• Participate in the entire application lifecycle, focusing on coding, code-reviews and bug fixing
• Write clean code to develop functional web applications
• Follow strict programming principles such as DRY, KISS and SOLID
• Write your own tests to automate the quality process as much as possible
• Manage cutting-edge technologies to improve legacy applications
• Collaborate with Front-end developers to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic
• Gather and address technical and design requirements
• Provide training and support to internal teams and conduct demos for stakeholders
• Build reusable code and libraries for future use
• Liaise with developers, designers and system administrators to identify new features
• Follow emerging technologies

Mandatory requirements:

• Proven work experience as a Back-end developer
• Hands on experience with Ruby(Ruby 2.5+), Rails(Rails 4+)
• In-depth understanding of the entire web development process (design, development and deployment)
• Has worked on either MySql and/or Postgresql
• Excellent analytical and time management skills
• Teamwork skills with a problem-solving attitude
• Any degree in Computer Science or relevant field
• Minimum experience of 4 years exclusively in Backend technology

Good to haves:

• Experience in Python, A WS EC2, A WS SDK, A WS Lambda and/or A WS S3 is a plus
• Experience in TDD framework and integration testing frameworks such as RSpec and Capybara
• Ability to identify and split the code into microservice architecture
• Experience with DjangoDB, Express NodeJs
• Experience with caching framework such as Sidekiq/Redis, DelayedJob etc.
• Familiarity with front-end languages such as React, ReactNative and/or plain JavaScript
• Familiarity with building NFT projects with
• Prior experience writing SmartContracts with Solidity
