About the Role

The Americas Marketing Team is looking for an experienced, enthusiastic and highly-motivated Field Marketing Manager who will be responsible for positioning Cloudflare in the new Digital Native Accounts Segment of the Mid Market segment in the US.

You will build the marketing plan for the region, integrating field events, account-based campaigns and programs in order to grow Cloudflare’s customer base in the Digital Native segment. You have a natural inclination to measure the effectiveness of marketing activities, show strong project management skills and are able to think strategically while orchestrating many moving parts. The programs you oversee will ultimately drive demand and pipeline in this new segment of the Americas region.

The accounts in the Digital Native segment are high-growth, venture-backed companies that typically buy and procure directly from vendors. They are also referred to as start-ups “born on the web”. Some of the main industries include Computer Software, Internet, Media, Cryptocurrency/Blockchain, and other Web3 companies.

This segment includes two groups:

Digital Native Named Accounts: Technology companies, Software, SaaS, Internet, Media, Cryptos, etc. Accounts in the above industries established after 2000, or additional industries (such as FinTech or HealthTech) with funding in the last 10 years. Employee size: 300 - 5000.

Digital Native Emerging Accounts: Technology companies, Software, SaaS, Internet, Media, Cryptos, etc. Accounts in the above industries established after 2000, or additional industries (such as FInTech or HealthTech) with funding in the last 10 years. Employee size: 1 - 299.

You will work closely with the Digital Native sales team to understand challenges, opportunities and to align with their quarterly goals. You will also partner with the Midmarket Account-Based Marketing team to build an integrated strategy that orchestrates marketing and sales touchpoints, and offers a better experience for our prospects and customers.

Responsibilities

  • Build the marketing plan integrating campaigns, field events and programs in order to grow brand awareness, educate Digital Native accounts and drive demand for Cloudflare.
  • Identify opportunities to drive various event formats such as: CxO events, customer-led panels, fireside chats, roundtables, webinars, Executive Briefing Centers, and other bespoke experiences.
  • Solidify goals, implement forecasting rigor, drive accountability across teams to hit our targets and supervise budgets ensuring appropriate and cost-effective use of resources
  • Work with cross-functional team members (Sales, BDRs, MarkOps, MarTech, SalesOps, Product Marketing, Partner Marketing, etc.) to support the orchestration of high-impact marketing campaigns and programs.
  • Ensure that your accounts get the right share of corporate and regional resources that provide marketing aircover (Branding, PR, Pay Per Click, Social, Advertising, Outbound Campaigns, etc).
  • Help evaluate and manage external vendors and third-party event sponsorship opportunities based on market reach and audience relevance.
  • Track spend within the allocated budget and build effective reports to determine performance and ROI (efficiency) of marketing initiatives.
  • Own the lead lifecycle and constantly drive to accelerate funnel velocity to maximize conversions and help drive the revenue goal in your segment or region.
  • Be responsible for communications to region stakeholders on results, issue management, and feedback loops.

Requirements

  • Eight or more years of proven experience in B2B marketing, marketing to technology start-ups (Internet/Media companies, Software, SaaS, Security, Cryptocurrency, etc.)
  • Academic background in marketing, business, communications or related fields
  • Experience delivering, accelerating, and expanding sales pipeline through regional field marketing initiatives executed under an integrated ABM strategy
  • Understanding of the customer journey and the best marketing approaches by stage
  • Analytically inclined and metrics-driven with rigorous attention to detail; great at solving complex problems with curious and creative mindset
  • Team player with exceptional organizational skills, and the ability to work strategically and tactically.
  • Ability to execute multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced and changing environment with tight deadlines
  • Must be comfortable with reporting and communicating marketing impact across the organization. (Tableau or Domo)
  • Hands-on experience with Salesforce and Marketo (or other marketing automation tools)
  • Excellent writing and presentation skills
  • Ability to travel when needed (30-40%)

Compensation

Compensation may be adjusted depending on work location.

  • For Colorado-based hires: Estimated annual salary of $108,000 - $132,000.
  • For New York City-based and California (excluding Bay Area) and Washington hires: Estimated annual salary of $115,000 - $141,000.
  • For Bay Area-based hires: Estimated annual salary of $122,000 - $149,000.
