About the Role
As an IT Support Engineer, you will use your technical knowledge and specialized skills to support, build, implement, and improve technology solutions for CoinDesk. You will provide white-glove support and service to resolve user issues in a fast-paced environment. This operational role focuses on remediating specific matters and improving the organization's IT capabilities more broadly. We seek experience working with global companies, and resolving IT support issues remotely.
Note: This is a full-time employment position affiliated with our US-based Corporate IT team. The expected working hours will be from 7:30pm (19:30) - 4:30am IST.
Responsibilities:
- Work to quickly identify needs of escalation and prioritize providing white glove service.
- Manage and administer SaaS apps like G Suite, Slack, Jira, Zoom, Jamf, and Intune.
- Configure workstations and equipment for employee onboarding & off-boarding, activate and deactivate accounts as necessary, and document and automate processes on an ongoing basis. Continually review and improve workflows for a seamless employee experience.
- Ensure best practices, security controls, and processes are consistently enforced and improved throughout the organization.
- Support users from multiple remote locations, the US, UK, India, Singapore, Hong Kong, etc.
- Responsible for maintaining IT-related documentation, including user guides, network diagrams, and inventory records.
- Discuss technology in simple, everyday terms; manage multiple users and open tickets simultaneously.
- Maintain a constant focus on customer service through patient, thoughtful, and concise responses.
- Collaborate with the People team and maintain responsibility related to hardware/equipment for employee onboarding & off-boarding: order, initialize and configure workstations, activate and deactivate accounts as needed, and document and automate these processes on an ongoing basis.
About You
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/Information Technology or related field (preferred) or equivalent related work experience.
- 3+ years of experience as a member of an IT team, start-up/fintech experience is a plus.
- Strong experience troubleshooting Windows and Mac devices
- Experience implementing and documenting IT processes, standards, policies, and guidelines, specifically at high-growth, fast-scaling startups.
- Experience with Jamf and/or Intune.
- Experience administering SaaS applications, such as Google or Office suites, video communications, internal communications, etc.
- Experience working in an environment with operational standards and controls.
- Experience working in a SOC 2-compliant environment is strongly preferred.
- Experience with workstation scripting (Bash/Powershell) is a plus.
