We're looking for inspiring Engineering Managers to help our engineering team make dreams come true; in this case, the design and development of the software applications and architecture that will bring DAOs into the mainstream. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams across the full product cycle, and leverage your (very impressive, by the way) management skills to empower and grow our engineering team as they improve in both form and function. Your extensive knowledge of best-in-class team and engineering processes will provide critical perspective and insight necessary to Dapper Labs’ “most important move yet.”

Key responsibilities:

• Expand your knowledge and network of Web3 projects & developers - you’ll not only get to work with the skilled and inspiring engineers, developers, designers and thinkers on our team, but also with other teams and developers building on Flow
• Build, lead and grow an incredible team of engineers by hiring, mentoring and coaching them in line with our organizational values of self-growth and high impact.
• Work with product and design leads to ensure we balance product aspirations with business objectives and engineering realities, tracking useful tech specifications, and maintaining appropriate user stories
• Timely delivery of fully tested software by the team you manage on tightly managed deadlines.
• Direct and oversee our engineers to ensure software development best practices, defining, scoping, and estimating team effort during the execution of important features and projects.
• Illuminate potential issues, risks or roadblocks across projects.
• Collaborate with other engineering leads to move our engineering practice forward Close the gap between technical and non-technical stakeholders - explaining technical concepts to non-technical folks and translating business-oriented and strategic plans to technical folks - to ensure that everyone is aligned around the value we are creating for our users.

Knowledge, skills, experience and strengths:

• Endlessly curious and kind, you share our values by celebrating compassion, creation and collaboration.
• As a manager and a contributor, you’ve delivered user-facing products through rapid iteration where requirements are uncertain or changing.
• Comfortable executing at a high level in an ambiguous environment, you have a proven ability to collaborate and communicate across teams and stakeholders, in person and virtually.
• Your experience includes building consumer-based applications at scale; A/B testing, feature toggles and measuring results with analytics data are standards in your repertoire.
• In your 5+ years of experience as a team contributor and 2+ years as an engineering team manager, you’ve gained and/or applied a strong understanding of Agile methodologies
• Experience managing producing applications implemented in JavaScript and Golang preferred.
• You’re committed to ensuring project tracking systems, online channels and scheduling systems are continuously current sources of truth.
• You manage well both up and down, delivering clear communication on both team needs, risks and blockers as well as tasks, timelines, and role guidance. In your past roles, people begged to work with and for you.
